Your Peace of Mind and Happiness Are Most Important
I have been trained in CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) and EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), as well having received a generalist social work education which focused on VALIDATION and SOLUTION FOCUSED therapies using a variety of emotion regulation skills as well as NARRATIVE work.

Trained as a social worker and having earned my LCSW by interning with an excellent Therapist for two years, I am qualified to work with every age group, to diagnose mental health conditions and to provide support and counseling for all diagnosis from Depression to Anxiety to PTSD and beyond.
I have worked with people who are struggling with things like gender identification, how to survive a divorce, how to work with Anxiety, how to quiet racing thoughts, how to get to sleep and stay there, how to cope with loss and despair, how to mange symptoms of Depression, and how to deal with aging and the reality of eventual death. I have worked in the fields of Domestic Violence, Hospice, Military Trauma and the GLBTQ community. I relate well with people of all ages; I work with individuals, couples and families. I am a peace maker. Before starting my private practice, I was fortunate enough to receive on-the-job training with each position I held.
I am ever grateful to my former clients, the people who allowed me to help them with their struggles and thus helped me to learn how to relate with life on life's terms and to excel in the process. |
